Terms and Conditions – Pixel Prize entrants from Australia

  • The Pixel Prize is conducted by Australian Catholic University Limited ABN: 15 050 192 660
  • Participation in the Pixel Prize is free and open to students from Australian high schools in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland (years 7-12).
  • Participants must be current high school students.
  • Entries will be judged by an industry expert in each of the three States. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Participants can submit up to three (3) photographs or digital collages into the 2017 Pixel Prize.
  • All winners will receive a Certificate.
  • All finalists will receive a Certificate.
  • All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • Prizes will be awarded to a winner and highly commended finalist in each of the four categories.
  • All prize winners and finalists will have their work displayed.
  • Due to limited hanging space each Gallery reserves the right not to display all participants’ entries.
  • Images uploaded should be provided in a CMYK printable format (eg. JPEG, TIF). Please ensure resolution is at least 300dpi/ppi, 30cm x 42cm. The acceptable file size range is 1-5MB.
  • Images uploaded for the Graphic Design: digital collage need to be in a Printable format. The image should be A3 size, 30 x 42cm.  The acceptable file size range is 1-5MB.
  • The University has the right to use photos submitted by entrants in any medium for any purpose that it sees fit. The University will credit and acknowledge the photographer and title for each image.
  • A completed online entry form with mandatory fields filled in must be submitted by the closing date.
  • Entries open for Australian and International entrants on Monday 3 July 2017 (AEST).
  • Entries for Australian entrants from Queensland & New South Wales close 5pm Friday 15 September 2017 (AEST) and for Victorian entrants 5pm Saturday 30 September 2017 (AEST). ACU does not accept any responsibility for delayed or incomplete entries
  • Entries close for International entrants 5pm Monday 4 September 2017 (AEST). ACU does not accept any responsibility for delayed or incomplete entries.
  • Entrants give permission for their contact details to be added to the University’s promotional mailing list.
  • The gathering of entrants’ details will be used solely by the University. To read ACU’s privacy statement please click here.
  • The Applicant warrants that all works submitted are original works created by the Applicant, and that such works do not infringe any third party’s copyright, other intellectual property rights, moral rights or rights to privacy, and are not defamatory or otherwise in breach of laws. Applicants who breach this condition forfeit their entitlement to a certificate of participation and will not be eligible for inclusion in the Pixel Prize competition.
